Car Show Today – Major Highlights from the SEMA 2018 Show

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) 2018 is a premier automotive show held at the Las Vegas where some of the most thrilling and raved about vehicles showcased. Though, many of the vehicles were the American muscle cars which are some of the most one-of-a-kinds and very rare. Also, some of the newly showcased vehicles stole the show and remained in the focus radar of car enthusiasts. From modified cars to classic cars and some of the amazing jacked up trucks, the SEMA 2018 was worth every single moment for car enthusiasts around the worlds.

Automakers from around the world showcased some of the craziest concepts, high-end modifications and almost 170,000 visitors enjoyed some of the best of the automotive industry. However, the brands at the SEMA 2018 showed off their upcoming vehicles too and some of the automotive technologies were also witnessed at the car show today.

Here are some of the major highlights, be that the Mopar’s latest Hellephant crate engine, Carbon Series by the Ford, of the 1968 Mustang with a Ferrari F430 4.3 V8 engine with huge twin turbochargers added.

Though the show had many vehicles, trucks. Tuner, jeeps and classic cars for the showcase, here was the modified 1968 Mustang which was made more furious and powerful by adding a Ferrari F430 V8 engine and that too with twin turbochargers. Making this Mustang more powerful and incredibly modified, one can find some amazing paint job and Avant Garde wheels making it look more stunning. According to the judges and spectaculars, it is undoubtedly the showstopper and best car among all presented there and made the headlines all over.

This updated Mustang unites the best of Ferrari and Ford making it an interesting and more powerful vehicle debuted at the 2018 SEMA. The twin turbochargers from Nelson Racing enhanced the powerful performance of this classic legend and is speculated to have around 700 horsepower, which is not confirmed by the brand itself yet. Though there were more powerful debutants at the car show today definitely this Mustang has more power as compared to an ordinary 1968 Ford Mustang.

Mopar’s Hellephant Supercharged Crate HEMI Engine and Kit

The 2019 Dodge Supercharger Hellephant was literally in the limelight for being laced with a high-performance engine, which claims to produce a whopping 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. This time Dodge and Mopar developed a crate engine, named Hellephant 426 Supercharged Mopar Crate Hemi Engine and Kit is an all-aluminum block engine. It involves a high-efficiency rotor, valves, locks, valve train and retainers taken from the Dodge Demon, while the valve covers were taken from the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

This engine was debuted with the 1968 Dodge Supercharger concept featuring some of the best components from the Fiat-Chrysler performance vehicle. The Challenger SRT Hellcat’s 6-speed manual transmission for better stability and performance. While the Demon-inspired hood scoop and headlamps from the Hellcat and Charger R/T-inspired rear spoiler are some of the best features combined to make this concept.

Ford GT Carbon Series

Ford announced its Carbon Series production at the SEMA 2018 having a 40 pounds lighter in weight car made from lightweight parts, carbon fiber wheels, A-pillar and more of the infotainment and technological features. The Ford has made the carbon series to be more lightweight and high-performance by adding carbon wheels, lower body and interior trim to have more carbon fiber than any of the previous GT models have them. Also, the Ford GT carbon series buyers can customize their GT by choosing the available four accent colors which are orange, blue, silver or red.

Liberty Walk Lamborghini Aventador and BMW i8

At the car show today the most hyped and raved about cars are some of the high-end modifications and such was the case with the Liberty Walk Lamborghini Aventador. It is a limited edition by Liberty Walks showcased at the 2018 SEMA as part of their projects. The second generation bumpers, fitted with third generation rear diffuser, rear sing, and front diffuser and added a new bonnet hood with bolt-on wheel arches make it look astonishing and more attractive. This aftermarket Lamborghini Aventador costs around $59,400 for these conversions and is highly admired by the car enthusiasts.

Just like the Aventador, this BMW i8 is also one of the best vehicles showcased at the 2018 SEMA car show. The aftermarket enhancements include a full body kit with a small rear wing and bolt on fenders making it look sportier.

Kia Cerato GT

The Kia Cerato GT sedan is expected to be launched in January and was showcased for the first time in Las Vegas at the 2018 SEMA. It is equipped with a 1.6-Litre Turbo engine having a 265 Nm of torque and has a front wheel drive. This GT by Kia will be available in hatchback and sedan, having an availability of six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The first model in GT was of Stinger while the Cerato is a second GT model by the brand.

Available in South Korea with a badge of K3 GT, it is a high-performance sedan and has some of the great performance-oriented tweaks which its companions have. The four-cylinder 1.6-litre Gamma turbocharged and direct injected (T-GDI) is a petrol engine that claims to propel a 201 horsepower. The revised suspension is available but the standard is of torsion beam suspension at the rear. The GT has many of the advanced driving dynamics and features such as better stability, steering control, better handling and ride comfort alongside the 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rubber tires.

Some of the latest entries and some were the high-end mods and restored classic cars were in limelight.
